Driving through traffic and road construction gave me a nasty headache today. Not a Migraine, thankfully, but a nasty tension-type headache. In pain and not a happy camper, I thoughtlessly snapped at a friend over the phone shortly after arriving at my hotel. Not good.
So, it's fitting that on my to-do list today was blogging for the Love Beats Hate Blogging Event. When I first read about this event, I was excited. What a great topic! Of course, with everything going on in the world, I could write about world events, the state of the economy, politics, or other broad topics. But that's not why you read this blog. Most likely, you're reading because you have problems with Migraines or headaches - or you care about someone who does. So, I'm going to stick to the topic in a more personal way.
Even when we're in pain and / or suffering with other Migraine symptoms, we need to hold on to love and let go of hate or anything resembling it. In my mind, anything that's not love, is likely to be some form of hate, something negative. Don't we all have enough negativity in our lives?
I could ramble on here, trying to be philosophical, trying to make a point. On the other hand, I found a couple of short videos that are far more eloquent than I could ever be...
I've always loved the quote by Gandhi, "We must be the change we want to see in the world." I have no idea what's being said in this video, but it's not necessary to understand what's said to understand what's meant...
