Migraine Inspiration Gift - I Won't Give Up! Video

JasonMrazHello, Migraine family! Watching The Today Show this morning, I heard a musician I'd never heard before, Jason Mraz.

Wow! He's amazing. His style is what I'd describe as a combination of jazz, pop, and calypso, but that really doesn't do him justice. Several things struck me as I watched:

  • He was having fun with his music.
  • I could easily understand the lyrics.
  • The music stirred me to move.
  • He was having fun with his music and sharing it with the audience!

Although I often enjoy the concert series on The Today Show, it's not usually to the extent that it was this morning. This morning, I pulled up iTunes to check out Jason Mraz and ended up downloading two of his albums. Then I checked out his web site www.jasonmraz.com. From there, I went to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Thanks to YouTube, I have a little Friday Migraine inspiration gift for you - a video of one of Jason's songs. Take a few minutes to sit back, uninterrupted, and watch it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I hope you have a happy, safe Labor Day weekend!

Live well,

Diane Rehm Show on Migraine - Listen Online

DianeRehmOn August 16, I had the privilege of being on the panel when NPRs The Diane Rehm Show when the topic was Living with Migraine and the Search for New Treatments.

The other panelists were:

  • Dr. Perry Richardson: Migraine specialists at George Washington University Hospital
  • Dr. David Dodick: director of the headache center at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, past president of the American Headache Society, chair of the American Migraine Foundation
  • Dr. Story Landis: director of the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke at the NIH

It was a great hour for getting out some important information about Migraine and answering questions from listeners. There were so many questions that we couldn't get to all of them in the allotted time, so Dr. Dodick answered several more online after the show.

Quite a few people have contacted me to ask if the show was archived because they missed it. I'm glad to say it is, and you can listen to it online. Just go to Living with Migraine and the Search for New Treatments and click the "LISTEN" link in the upper left corner of the page.

Live well,

PurpleRibbonTiny
